Aidan Buttigieg of Team Polti Visit Malta claimed the National Time Trial Championship title for the third consecutive year, in the event organised by the Malta Cycling Federation. This marks Buttigieg’s third straight national title in this discipline. He secured the Elite category victory with a maximum total of 600 points, having won all three races. Luke Borg of The Cyclist by Agones placed second with 490 points, while John Camilleri of Bike It Up Racing came third with 450 points.
In the women’s category, Michelle Vella Wood of Team Greens took the championship for the seventh time in her career, scoring 550 points. She was followed by Lindsey Pirotta of D Sports Lab (450 pts) and Danica Bonello Spiteri of Team Greens (445 pts).
Mark Zammit (Mosta CC) retained the Masters 40+ title with 550 points, ahead of Gesred Borg (Team Greens, 480 pts) and Jeffrey Borg (Mosta CC, 435 pts). In the Masters 50+, David Cushing (Bike It Up Racing) won with a perfect 600 points.
Ryan Gatt (The Cyclist by Agones) became Junior Champion (400 pts), while Ethan Grech (Mosta CC) topped the U-16 boys’ category. Rihanna Hassan (Team Greens) dominated the U-16 girls with 600 points.
Neil Cassar (Shamrock Stars SC) won the U-14 boys, and Nina Debono Curmi (D Sports Lab) claimed the U-14 girls title. In the U-12 boys, Kurt Grech (Mosta CC) took top honours, while Zaliya Dimech (Shamrock Stars SC) led the U-12 girls.
The Malta Cycling Federation expressed gratitude to all cyclists, club officials, volunteers, ARRTS Timing System, and supporting entities including Transport Malta, Local Councils, Police, and emergency services.
