The first YoHealth Malta Premier League match on Sunday will see Marsaxlokk play against Mosta at 18:45 at the National Stadium.
Last season, Mosta reached the Top Six in both parts of the league, while Marsaxlokk missed out in the first round but managed to finish in the Top Six during the second phase.
Marsaxlokk have made several changes to their squad, bringing in experienced players like former Floriana Oualid El Hasni, ex Birkirkara Enrico Pepe, Triston Caruana, Marcelo Santos who played for Żabbar last season, and James Vella. They’ve also added striker Ensell Attard, who scored many goals for Melita, and goalkeeper Christoff Mafoumbi, who has joined from Floriana.
Mosta have also strengthened their team with new signings including Daniel Santos, João Dias, Quelmer Hurtado Herrera, and Leonardo Joaquim da Silva. They lost Clayton Failla who will be playing with Gżira United this season.
The last encouter between the two ended in a 4-0 win for the Southsiders.
