The Malta Premier has confirmed that the National Stadium will be unavailable this coming weekend, citing forecasted rainfall and ongoing concerns regarding the pitch conditions from recent matchdays. This was communicated to the Malta Premier by the Malta FA on Thursday afternoon. Initially, the YoHealth Malta Premier fixtures for Matchday 7 were set to be played at the National Stadium.
However, following the concerns raised by the Malta FA, the Malta Premier sought alternative solutions, including the possibility of swapping fixtures with the Challenge League.
After constructive talks with both the Malta FA and Challenge League representatives, a mutual agreement has been reached. The Challenge League Clubs have agreed to move their games to earlier slots, which will allow the YoHealth Malta Premier matches to take place later in the evening at the full artificial surface of the Centenary Stadium.
