Nottingham Forest moved closer to the UEFA Europa League knockout stages with a 3-0 home win over Malmö, extending their unbeaten run under Sean Dyche to four matches.
Forest started strongly, with Arnaud Kalimuendo missing an early chance before Ryan Yates opened the scoring after a cut-back from Nikola Milenković. Forest pressed on, and Kalimuendo finally scored on the rebound to end his goal drought. Yates and Milenković combined again after the break to make it 3-0. Callum Hudson-Odoi came close to a fourth with a shot that hit the crossbar.
A late injury to Forest’s Murillo was a minor setback, but the hosts controlled the game and showed some mercy to Malmö in the closing stages. Forest now sit 16th in the group, while Malmö could be eliminated next matchday, having just one point.
