A heavily rotated Liverpool side were defeated in Eindhoven but still topped their Champions League group.
With nine first-team players left at home, Liverpool made several changes. Andy Robertson played as a centre-back, Jayden Danns started up front, and James McConnell made his Champions League debut.
The game came to life just before half-time with goals every few minutes. Liverpool took the lead through a Cody Gakpo penalty, but PSV equalised shortly after. Liverpool regained the lead when Harvey Elliott scored from a rebound, only for PSV to level again. In stoppage time, PSV took the lead for the first time after a deflected cross.

The second half lacked excitement, and focus shifted to the changing group table. Amara Nallo made his debut but was sent off shortly after for a foul.
Despite the loss, Liverpool finished top of the group, and will face either PSG, Benfica, Brest, or Monaco in the knockout stages.
