Manchester City knew they needed a win against Club Brugge to progress in the Champions League, and despite going behind, they managed to secure a 3-1 victory.
City were sluggish in the first half and fell behind to Raphael Onyedika’s breakaway goal. However, the introduction of Savinho changed the game, and Mateo Kovacic quickly equalised after half-time.

An own goal then put City in the lead, and Savinho’s chest and volley sealed the win. City will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the play-off round, with the opponent to be decided on Friday.
