Roma have dismissed head coach Ivan Juric following a 3-2 Serie A home loss to Bologna on Sunday, marking the search for their third manager this season.
The 49-year-old Croatian was appointed in September to replace Daniele de Rossi, who lasted only eight months after Jose Mourinho’s departure. Juric oversaw 12 matches, securing four wins and suffering five defeats.
“We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work in recent weeks,” stated Roma’s owners, The Friedkin Group, who are currently in negotiations to acquire Everton. “He managed a challenging environment with great professionalism, and we are grateful for that. The search for a new head coach is already underway, and we anticipate an announcement soon.”
Reports indicate that former Italy and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is the frontrunner for the position after leaving his role as head coach of Saudi Arabia.
Currently, Roma sits 12th in Serie A and 20th in the Europa League, just one point above the relegation zone.
