Inter Milan climbed to the summit of Serie A with a commanding 2–0 win over Lazio at the San Siro.
Captain Lautaro Martínez set the tone early, firing home a superb opener, before Ange-Yoan Bonny sealed the points just after the hour mark. The result — Inter’s third consecutive league win — sends Cristian Chivu’s side into the international break ahead of Roma on goal difference.
Inter made a blistering start, taking the lead inside three minutes when Alessandro Bastoni dispossessed Gustav Isaksen on the left flank and teed up Martínez, who rifled a powerful shot into the far top corner beyond a helpless Ivan Provedel.

The Nerazzurri almost doubled their advantage midway through the first half, as Nicolò Barella floated a precise cross to the far post, where Petar Sucic volleyed narrowly wide.
After the interval, Inter maintained their dominance. Martínez went close again before a fluid, sweeping move produced the second goal. Carlos Augusto released Martínez down the left, the captain squared for Federico Dimarco, whose low cross was expertly turned in by Bonny at the far post.
Inter briefly thought they had added a third when Piotr Zielinski found the net from 18 yards, but VAR intervention ruled the goal out for a handball by Dimarco in the buildup.
The victory keeps Inter’s momentum firmly intact as they head into the break sitting top of the Serie A table.
Following their reprieve, Lazio finally sparked into life.
Pedro flashed a shot just far wide before substitute Oliver Provstgaard’s header bounced back down off the underside of the crossbar and into the arms of Inter keeper Yann Sommer, who had just stopped the ball from going over the line.
Sommer then saved a late effort from Luca Pellegrini as Inter closed out another impressive win.
