Arsenal football player and one of the youngest scorers at the World Cup in Qatar, Bukayo Saka, commented on comparisons with PSG and French national team player Kylian Mbappe.
“Thanks for the compliment, but one is Kylian Mbappe. On the other hand, I am one and I want to be me and help the team. There are many youngsters in this tournament. Even in our team, there are great young players like Jad Bellingham”, said Bukayo Saka.
The Arsenal player was remembered the summer before last for the fact that he did not play his best in the final of the European Championship at “Wembley”. He did not score an important goal in the penalty shootout and that allowed Italy to win.
“I have matured and progressed a lot since that moment. I wouldn’t have stepped up to take so many penalties for Arsenal if I didn’t have faith in myself. If the moment comes and if they choose me, I will be happy to shoot the penalty. I honestly personally tried to continue from that moment on. I know I will never be able to forget it, but scoring goals at the same time lifted me up a lot after that. I always say that the fans’ love lifts me up a lot. I like to see that from the fans”, Saka added.
England will play France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
