ROBERTO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND PSG'S FANS: We are waiting for the Messi with open arms

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto, in an interview with the Spanish AS, invited Paris Saint-Germain footballer Lionel Messi to return to the Catalan club and end his career where he started.

The 35-year-old Argentine played for Barcelona from 2000 to 2021, and then moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

He has a contract with the French club until the end of the season, but he still hasn’t decided whether to extend it, while one of the options is a return to Barcelona.

“We are waiting for the Messi with open arms. Who wouldn’t wait for his return!? In the end, it’s better not to say anything about it, because it’s a matter that the president, director and coach deal with. But as far as we players are concerned, our hands are open,” said Roberto.

The Barcelona midfielder commented on the Paris Saint-Germain fans who booed and insulted Messi due to their relegation from the Champions League.

“It’s really incomprehensible to me. How many goals did he score this season, how many assists, and now they blame him for dropping out of the Champions League? Messi is a spectacular player. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth when you see someone treat him that way,” concluded Roberto.
