After securing the GFA Cup and 1st Division Knock-Out last season, Qala Saints won their first honour of the season when the beat rivals Nadur Youngsters 2-1 to claim the GFA Super Cup.
This match was played between the two as Nadur won a tight title with Qala last season while the Saints won the GFA Cup.
Qala went in front in the 8th minute with a goal from Christian Mercieca with the first half ending 1-0 for them.
In the second half, on the 66th minute Mercieca doubled the score for Qala, while Joseph Zammit’s penalty goal for Nadur in the 78th minute was not enough as the match ended 2-1 in favour of Shaun Bajada’s men.
