PSG President Accused of Kidnapping and Torture by French-Algerian Lobbyist

Nasser Al Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is under investigation in three investigative courts in Paris over accusations of kidnapping and torture.

The accusations were made by a French-Algerian lobbyist, Tayeb Benabderrahmane, who claimed that he was tortured in Qatar in 2020 because he possessed documents that could implicate the PSG president.

According to French media reports, including L’Equip, Benabderrahmane filed a complaint as a citizen, which French law mandates for the investigation of crimes of torture and kidnapping that he mentioned in his complaint. Al Khelaifi’s lawyers, Roman Ruiz and Gabriel Wejnar expressed satisfaction after months of criticizing the French legal system for its inaction and slowness.
