Lucas Hernandez is a new PSG player, as his transfer from Bayern Munich was completed.
The defender has signed a five-year contract with the French champions and should be the first option at left back for coach Luis Enrique.
The 27-year-old French national team member spent four years at Bayern, after the Bavarians paid him in 2019 for a then-record 80 million euros to Atlético Madrid.
The Germans have now recovered part of the invested funds, more precisely, they will collect 45 million euros, plus 10 through potential bonuses.
Hernandez is PSG’s fifth signing in the summer transfer window, after Milan Skrinjar, Manuel Ugarte, Marco Asensio and Lee Kang-in joined the club.
“I feel great joy! I waited a long time to join PSG and finally it happened”, said the new player of “Saints”.
During his stay at Bayern, Hernandez played only 107 games, because he had problems with numerous injuries. He was the world champion with France at the 2018 World Cup.
