Mirotic Rejects Olympiakos Offer

Greek media reports that Nikola Mirotic has turned down an offer from Olympiakos, leaving his next destination uncertain.

According to the Greek agency SDNA, the Montenegrin native declined the proposal from the Piraeus club. Meanwhile, his contractual status with Barcelona remains intact as he has yet to reach an agreement to terminate his contract with the Spanish team.

In the upcoming days, it is expected that Mirotic’s departure from Barcelona will be finalized, paving the way for him to find a new club. There is speculation that Panathinaikos, as reported by Italian journalist Matteo Andreani, has entered the race for his signature. The Athens-based team has allegedly offered a lucrative salary of 7.5 million euros for a two-year contract.

This move by Panathinaikos follows their successful recruitment of Kostas Sloukas from Olympiakos, as they aim to strengthen their squad by poaching players from their rival club.
