Birkirkara and Naxxar Lions both booked their place in the Meridianbet FA Trophy semi-finals after two hard-fought quarter-final matches.
Birkirkara edged past Żabbar St Patrick despite playing with ten men, while Naxxar Lions needed extra time to overcome a strong challenge from Żurrieq.
Birkirkara had an early goal disallowed and later went down to ten men after a red card confirmed by Video Support.
Żabbar took the lead in the second half through De Paiva, but Reid quickly equalised. Lopez then scored from a free-kick to seal a 2-1 win for Birkirkara.

Meanwhile, Naxxar Lions needed extra time to eliminate Żurrieq.
Naxxar led early through Vinicius Ferreira De Jesus, but Żurrieq equalised in the second half from a Wyatt John Harding goal.
In extra time, a penalty scored by Vitinho after a Video Support review gave Naxxar a 2-1 victory and a semi-final clash with Gżira United.
