Laporta: From a financial point of view, we are out of the hospital

Joan Laporta, the president of the Barcelona football club, said at the presentation of Robert Lewandowski that the club has come out of the financial crisis.

“A year has passed and we managed to turn things around. It was a difficult year for us. We had to make so many important decisions under great pressure. We have to keep working. From a financial point of view, we are out of the hospital. We still have to be careful,” said Laporta.

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani stated that Barcelona still has not paid the money for Rafinha and that they have until September 2nd to do so.

We worked hard to register all players, not only Robert Lewandowski. The decision is now up to La Liga and we are waiting. I think we accomplished everything they asked of us,” said Laporta.

Let’s recall that the owner of the club stated that the Catalan club owed 1.35 billion euros last year, but that did not prevent them from “cashing out” 153 million euros for just two transfers.
