Barcelona dismantled Valencia with a commanding 6-0 victory, as Marcus Rashford marked his first direct involvement in a La Liga goal.
Fermín López, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski all struck twice for the reigning champions. Rashford, on loan from Manchester United and making just his second start, delivered the assist for Raphinha’s opener shortly after half-time, swinging in a superb cross from the left. The England forward played 67 minutes, producing a lively display with two shots off target.
López had opened the scoring after latching onto Ferran Torres’ through ball, before doubling his tally with a stunning long-range effort for 3-0. Raphinha powered home another to make it four. Substitute Lewandowski then got in on the act, first converting from Dani Olmo’s pass and later adding a delicate finish for his second, awarded by VAR after initially being ruled offside.
Barcelona might have won by an even greater margin, with Torres striking the post from a Rashford cross that had been flicked into his path.
The fixture took place at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, with a capacity of just 6,000, as the Nou Camp remains under redevelopment.
