After a 1-0 win on Nadur Youngsters, Kerċem Ajax have been crowned Gozo First Division champions for the second time in their history.
The last time Kerċem won the league was in season 1958/86.
The achievement is a remarkable one for a club that has worked tirelessly to establish itself among the elite of Gozitan football. Having previously won the Second Division title in the 2011-12 season with an unbeaten campaign, and having also lifted the GFA Cup along the way, the First Division title represents the highest honour in Gozitan football and the crowning moment in the club’s history.
The road to the title has not always been straightforward. Kerċem Ajax were relegated from the First Division at the end of the 2023-24 season, but they bounced back immediately with real determination and purpose, earning promotion back to the top flight and going on to claim the championship in style.
