In an exhilarating match in the GFA 1st Division, Għajnsielem emerged victorious with a thrilling 4-3 scoreline against championd Nadur Youngsters, sealing their win with a penalty in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
The game kicked off with Għajnsielem making a strong impression, catching Nadur off guard with two quick goals: the first from Joseph Onyeka Ezigbo in the 10th minute, followed by Decon Attard in the 26th minute.
Nadur managed to narrow the gap just before halftime with a goal from Brandon Said, but Għajnsielem responded swiftly, with Ezigbo netting his second goal in the 35th minute.
As the match progressed, Nadur continued to battle back, with Joseph Zammit scoring in the 41st minute. In a nail-biting finish, Brandon Said struck again for Nadur in the 88th minute, leveling the score.
However, the drama didn’t end there, as Marcus Vinicius Claudino Ramos converted a penalty in the ninth minute of added time, securing the win for Għajnsielem.
