Debbie Tully was one of 10 distinguished referees selected to officiate at the renowned Be Water My Friend (BWMF) tournament, which took place in Lloret del Mar, Spain, from August 28th to September 2nd.
The event featured athletes from 10 different countries, with 21 male teams and 8 female teams participating, totaling around 400 competitors.
The BWMF is a non-profit organization committed to revitalizing and promoting sports activities, particularly minority sports, among young people worldwide.
With a primary focus on water polo, the association aims to elevate the sport and develop young talent on a global scale.
Ms. Tully remarked that competing with and against the best is the most effective way to improve, a sentiment that was clearly reflected throughout the tournament, which offered a high-level platform for all athletes and officials to demonstrate their skills and learn from one another.
