Christian Eriksen, a Brentford footballer, is brilliant in the Premier League after a heart attack he suffered on the field half a year ago, despite having a defibrillator on his heart.
Half a year ago, the Danish national team member suffered a heart attack in a match against Finland at the European Championships, after which he had to have a defibrillator on his heart due to medical supervision and numerous medical tests.
Eriksen then played for Inter, with whom, after the installation of the defibrillator, he had to terminate his cooperation due to regulations in Italy and the impossibility of playing with the defibrillator. Such a situation was used by the English club Brentford, which plays in the Premier League, and invited the Danish national team player to its ranks, which he gladly accepted.
Half a year after the horrible scene, Eriksen, despite the built-in defibrillator, never ceases to amaze with his professionalism and dedication to football, but also with his great feats on the field, playing in the English Premier League jersey.
Namely, after moving to Brentford, in February this year, Eriksen recorded great results. He played a full 60 minutes on February 14, more precisely on his birthday, in the match against Southend, and only a week later, the Danish national team player had two assists in a friendly match against Rangers and spent as many as 78 minutes on the field.
Eriksen stated that he had done all the medical tests, that he had received a doctor’s permission to participate in the matches, as well as that he was feeling well, and that his family had the greatest support.
“I wanted to do all the tests and talk to the doctors to tell me what is possible and what is not. They told me, you have Myocarditis, otherwise, nothing has changed, you can continue with your life normally, there are no limits for you. To be honest, I didn’t really sink mentally. I don’t see any risk, I think I’m protected by this defibrillator. I am determined to go step by step with the plan made by the doctors, the whole thing is slow, but my family has given me great support. “I love my family and I’m sorry for everything they’ve been through in the last few months,” Eriksen said.
