Wolverhampton Wanderers have paid tribute to Portuguese striker Diogo Jota by making him a member of the club’s Hall of Fame. This comes after Jota sadly died in a car accident earlier this month.
Jota played a key role in helping Wolves get promoted to the Premier League in 2018 before moving to Liverpool in 2020.
“Diogo was not just an amazing footballer, but also a humble and kind person during his time at Wolves. We will all miss him greatly,” said Matt Wild, Wolves’ director of football administration.
The club’s Hall of Fame was started in 2008 and already includes famous names like Billy Wright, Derek Dougan, and Steve Bull.
