Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United for around €80 million. However, interest from Real Madrid could make the deal more difficult.
Newcastle’s recent Champions League exit has increased the chances of Guimarães leaving. United see the 28-year-old as a replacement for Casemiro, who is set to leave the club.
Casemiro has reportedly suggested Guimarães as the right player to take his place, praising his experience and leadership.
Talks between United and the player have gone well so far, but Real Madrid have now entered the race, which could change things.

The Spanish club have liked Guimarães for several years. Manager Carlo Ancelotti previously wanted him as a long-term replacement for midfielders like Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos.
Back in 2022, Real Madrid were close to signing him, but Newcastle stepped in with a big offer and completed the transfer instead.
Now, Real Madrid are interested again as they look to strengthen their midfield, especially with Eduardo Camavinga expected to leave soon.
With both clubs interested, Guimarães could be at the centre of a transfer battle in the next window.
