Manchester City moved to within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal after beating Fulham 3-0. It also meant City extended their head-to-head run against Fulham to 20 straight wins in all competitions.
City started quickly and put Fulham under pressure straight away. Phil Foden had two early chances, and City kept pushing. They took the lead in the 24th minute when Fulham defender Sander Berge made a poor headed clearance, allowing Antoine Semenyo to score calmly for his 13th league goal of the season.
Fulham nearly hit back soon after, but Harry Wilson’s low shot was saved well by Gianluigi Donnarumma. That moment proved important, as City scored again just after half an hour. Semenyo played a perfect pass to Nico O’Reilly, who finished confidently past Bernd Leno.
City then made it 3-0 before half-time when Erling Haaland fired into the bottom corner from outside the box.
Fulham tried to get back into the match in the second half, but Emile Smith Rowe and Raúl Jiménez couldn’t hit the target. City stayed in control, and Pep Guardiola used the chance to rest some key players.
The game ended quietly, with City seeing it out comfortably. The win extended their unbeaten home league run to 12 matches and kept the pressure on Arsenal at the top.
