Manchester United footballer Casemiro will miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Sheffield United due to an injury, the club announced today.
He stayed in Brazil to recover, it said, from a minor injury he picked up while playing for his national team in World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay.
United said the decision to stay in Brazil was based on the club’s advice to allow him to recover “as quickly as possible”.
The Old Trafford club added that they expect Casemiro to return to Manchester early next week.
