Arsenal and Liverpool match postponed

The match between Arsenal and Liverpool, which was supposed to be played tomorrow in London, has been postponed, the clubs announced.

Liverpool requested the postponement of the match yesterday, and the reason for a large number of cases of coronavirus in the “Reds”, that request was accepted, so the match was postponed.

“We are disappointed to have to announce that our match against Liverpool in the EFL Cup has been postponed due to a large number of players from the opposing team who are infected with the coronavirus. As a result, the matches were postponed, so the first match will be played at the “Anfield” on January 13, and the rematch will be at our stadium on January 20, “it is stated on the Twitter account of Arsenal, while Liverpool added:

“As a club, we want to thank the leaders of the League and Arsenal for understanding the problems we found ourselves in and for the support they gave us.”
