A lawsuit has been initiated against eight health workers in Argentina for negligent murder due to the death of football legend Diego Armando Maradona, the court announced today.
They will appear in court in the Argentine city, San Isidro, due to the death of Maradona, who passed away on November 25, 2020.
The court accepted the indictment filed in April this year, and the neurosurgeon and family doctor, the doctor from the clinic, psychiatrist, psychologist and head of nurses and paramedics will be on the dock.
Recall that Maradona passed away due to cardiac arrest while recovering in his home, and he had kidney and liver problems, as well as heart and neurological problems and an addiction to alcohol and drugs he consumed.
The health workers charged in the indictment can receive a prison sentence of 8 to 25 years.
