Manchester United Make Decision on Marcus Rashford’s Injury Ahead of Europa League Clash Against Sevilla
Manchester United have reportedly decided not to risk Marcus Rashford in their upcoming Europa League quarter-final tie against Sevilla. This comes after the star player was withdrawn from their last game after appearing to hold his groin, raising concerns about his fitness for the remaining six weeks of the season.
Rashford has been in fine form this season, scoring 28 goals in all competitions – the joint-most of any player since Sir Alex Ferguson retired a decade ago. However, United are prioritising his long-term fitness and will only play him if their medical team deems the injury will not be aggravated by his involvement.
The Mirror reports that he underwent a scan on his injury and will sit out the game against Sevilla as a precaution, suggesting that his injury may not be as serious as initially feared. With a tough run-in ahead, United will be hoping for a fully fit Rashford for the remaining fixtures rather than risking his health by rushing him back into action.
In the meantime, fans will have to wait and see if Rashford is fit enough to return to the field in the coming weeks. But for now, United are taking no chances with their star player and are doing everything possible to ensure his full recovery.
