Three players have successfully earned their place in Malta’s national Blackball team in their respective categories, following the final qualifying tournament for the upcoming European Championship, which will be held in Ennis, Ireland.
In the men’s category, Miguel Mizzi clinched victory in the final by defeating Clayton Attard 10-7. It was a tightly contested match, with Attard leading at one point, but Mizzi maintained consistency and kept up the pace to ultimately win the encounter.
In the under-23 final, Neil Caruana beat Casdy Vella 9-5. Vella had taken an early 4-2 lead in the first half of the match, but after Caruana drew level at 5-5, he never looked back and secured the win.
Finally, in the over-40s category, Chris Tabone emerged victorious against Joseph Tabone with a 10-6 scoreline. Chris Tabone was consistently precise throughout the match, and the result reflects a well-deserved qualification.
