The main Blackball championships organised by the Malta Blackball Federation are now underway, with matches taking place across the National, Regional and Community Leagues.
After the first two rounds of play, Cospicua Rangers top the National League with maximum points, following wins in their opening matches. In their most recent outing, they beat Mrieħel Billiard House A 11–8. Qormi Pinto A are in second place after defeating Hamrun 147 A 11–7.
In Regional League Section A, San Gwann Tiki Taka Boys, Qormi Pinto B and Hamrun 147 C all have full points after two matches. They beat Zebbug St Joseph A (11–8), Domus Kids Zejtun A (11–1) and Valletta Fossa Boys (11–9) respectively.
Meanwhile, in Regional League Section B, Birkirkara Youngsters and Hamrun 147 B also have six points from two wins. They beat San Gwann Tiki Taka Spartans (11–4) and Siġġiewi Montekristo A (11–2). PL Balzan A and Selmun Sports Club A played out a 10–10 draw.
