Cospicua Rangers climbed to first place of the National Blackball league table after registering a win and a draw in their two matches played this week. The Cospicua side beat Jojo’s Birżebbuġa A 11-7 although they were held to a 10-10 draw by Valletta Breakwater. In this last game they were winning 9-2 but the Citizens managed to reach them to eventually settle for a draw.
Hamrun 147 A beat their second team Hamrun 147 B 11-3 in a game which they dominated while Qormi Anici A gave Jojo’s Birżebbuġa their second defeat of the week as they beat them 11-5.
In the Regional League, Hamrun 147 C suffered their first defeat of the season when they were seen off by Valletta Fossa Boys A 11-7. On the other hand, there was a balanced encounter between Kazin Pinto Qormi A and Selmun Bar A which ended 10-10 while Domus Kids Żejtun A got three important points after a score of 11-6 against PL Balzan A.
In group A of the Community League, leaders Qormi Anici D have a three point advantage over their closest rivals San Ġwann Tiki Taka A after a score of 11-5 against Juve Birkirkara B. The same San Ġwann Tiki Taka A continued to battle for the top positions after a convincing 11-2 victory against Selmun Bar C.
On the other hand, Mrieħel Billiard House got a good victory of 11-8 against PL Balzan B.
In group B of the Community League, San Ġwann Tiki Taka B are in first place after a score of 11-6 against Juve Birkirkara A. The same score was recorded in the game between Qormi Anici E and Domus Kids Żejtun. B with the Qormi side getting the three points.
Selmun Bar B and Valletta Fossa Boys B won against Tac-Caċcu Qormi (11-9) and Qormi Anici C (11-8) respectively.
