The standout match of the week in the seventh round of the National Blackball Championship ended all square, with Cospicua Rangers A and Qormi Pinto A drawing 10-10. Both sides gave it their all but had to settle for a point apiece.
In the other National League fixture, Hamrun 147 A beat Mriehel Billiard House 11-6 to climb above them in the table.
In Regional League Section A, leaders Qormi Pinto B won 11-6 against Hamrun 147 C. Zebbug St Joseph A ran out easy winners against Domus Kids Zejtun A, winning 11-1, whilst Valletta Fossa Boys picked up their second win of the season, beating San Gwann Tiki Taka Boys 11-7.
In Regional League Section B, Hamrun 147 B stay top after a convincing 11-3 win over Birkirkara Youngsters. Selmun Sports Club A and San Gwann Tiki Taka Spartans also won, beating Siggiewi MonteKristo A 11-8 and PL Balzan A 11-4 respectively.
In Community League Section A, Cospicua Rangers B beat PL Floriana 11-3 to go top, with the two sides previously level at the top of the table. Hamrun 1889 Bar and Mriehel Billiard House B shared the points in a 10-10 draw, whilst Zebbug St Joseph B and Selmun Sports Club C won against Birzebbuga St Peter’s B (11-4) and Siggiewi MonteKristo C (11-7) respectively.
In Community League Section B, Hamrun 147 D kept up their perfect record, having won all nine of their matches so far. Closest challengers Birkirkara Bocci stayed in touch with an 11-4 win over Siggiewi MonteKristo. Qormi Anici and Selmun Sports Club B drew 10-10, Birzebbuga St Peter’s A beat Zebbug St Joseph C 11-9, and San Gwann Tiki Taka Buddies won 11-7 against PL Balzan B.
