Swieqi United and St George’s have secured their places in the final of the Women’s National Beach Soccer Championship following victories in their respective semi-final matches.
Swieqi United continued their impressive unbeaten run in the competition, winning every match to date. In the semi-final, they delivered a commanding performance to defeat Parr Mela 6-1. Michela Felice scored a hat-trick, Marie Oliveira netted twice, and Amy Abdilla also found the back of the net. Parr Mela’s only goal came courtesy of Isabella Otero.
The match was officiated by Stefania Bonnici and Stephen Vella.
In the second semi-final, St George’s emerged victorious in a closely contested encounter against Zero Sei, winning 8-6. Liliana Coherte scored twice, while Kirsty Paris, Shakira Bugeja, Laury Carrasco, Estephany Colomenarez, Jeanelle Falzon, and Audrey Chetcuti each added a goal to secure the win.
Doubles from Rocio Robles, Demi Gauci and Juciela Vale were on the mark for Zero Sei.
Referees for the match were Stefania Bonnici and Andrea Naudi.
The final between Swieqi United and St George’s will be played this evening at 6:30 PM at Pretty Bay, Birżebbuġa.
