Former German national team member and Red Star basketball player Maik Zirbes has found a new job, so he will play in the Portuguese Benfica jersey next season.
The German will sign a one-year contract with the club from Lisbon, far more famous for its success in club football.
Zirbes spent last season in the team from Mali Kalemegdan, won three trophies, but failed to fight for a place in Dejan Radonjić’s team.
In addition to Red Star, the German center played for Bamberg, Maccabi, Bayern, and Cedevita Olimpia in his career. He also played in China, and for a time, he was also a standard member of the German national team.
