Jan Vesely, as we announced, strengthened Barcelona, for which he signed a three-year contract, thus dispelling doubts about his return to Partizan!
The Czech basketball player left Fenerbahçe Beko after eight long years.
He made his first playing steps in Slovan, from where he soon came to Partizan. “Black and white” were also mentioned as a potential new club before the contract with the Catalans, but new cooperation will not happen.
During his stay in Partizan he won three Serbian championship titles, three ABA League titles, and was part of the famous team that won the F4 Euroleague in Paris in 2010.
After Partizan, Vesely was chosen as the sixth pick in the draft by Denver. He did not manage with the Nuggets, so he was soon traded to Washington, where he also did not manage and returned to Europe.
With Fenerbahçe, he won the Euroleague in 2017, four Turkish championship titles and three national cup trophies.
With the departure of Davis, the position of center in Barca remained vacant, where Vesely emerged as the ideal solution.
Let us remind you that the Czech averaged 13.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Euroleague last season.
