The wing center of the Serbian national team, Borisa Simanic, had an injured kidney removed, due to a hit in the match against South Sudan.

The basketball player from Zaragoza received a strong blow on August 30 during the match of the second round of the first phase of the Munodbasket with South Sudan, because of which he had to leave the court immediately.

Borisa was operated on the same evening, and the first forecasts were optimistic. However, in the end, the doctors had to remove his kidney.

Simanic is 25 years old and 211 centimeters tall. He has been a member of the senior selection of Serbia for years. At the World Championship in Manila, for the first time in his career, he was in the final composition of the national team for a major competition.

He started his professional career in Crvena Zvezda in 2014, and also performed for FMP and Mega, before moving to Zaragoza in the summer of 2022.
