Partizan’s basketball coach Zeljko Obradovic summed up after the defeat against Igokea in the 7th round of the ABA League.
Igoke defeated the black and whites with a score of 89:91 with a goal by Stefan Moody two seconds before the end.
At one point, Partizan had as many as 22 minus points, but they managed to equalize in the last minute of the match, but Kaminsky’s open three-pointer for the victory did not go away.
“I want to congratulate Igokea on the well-deserved victory. In the last quarter, we raised the aggressiveness that was needed to get back into the game and we came back and had a good chance to end differently. Unfortunately for us, it ended the way it did and Igokea celebrated.” said Obradovic, then continued:
“The problems are the same when you play in this rhythm. I started with a line-up that I thought would be motivated, the last thing I said was that we had to fight for every ball. Of the five draw balls, every one was theirs. That shows the desire with which we entered the match. The last quarter, we woke up and managed to equalize, had an open three-point shot, a dead ball happened and then what happened happened.”
PJ Dowzer was not on the floor, and the coach of the black and whites pointed out that this decision was solely his.
“As for Douzer, it was my decision. He needs a rest and that’s it. Basically, we could see that some are doing their best, while others are behaving rather indolently. Why is that so, we will see, we will talk, we will try to raise them, that is our job.” Zeljko Obradovic concluded.
