Nikola Jokic commented on the statement of his coach Michael Malone that he is the least respected MVP in the history of the league.
Jokic is still one of the best players in the NBA, he is the leader of the Nuggets in every game and he has an enviable average.
Malone believes that many still doubt him and he is bothered by such an attitude towards the Serbian center, but Jokic is not worried about that much.
– I like that. If they don’t respect it, I like it. If they don’t respect me I like it. I don’t need media attention. I don’t need any attention. I’m just going to go out on the field and play basketball. If I’m here, fine. If I didn’t, it’s also good – said Jokic after the match with Portland.
Jokic scored 20 points (8/10 from the game), with 8 rebounds and 7 assists in Denver’s convincing 140: 108 victory.
– It is always good to win before a series of guest appearances. It was a little harder to play now. The first quarter was very difficult. After that, we controlled the game all the time. Every victory is important to us because of injuries, bad luck, everything – Jokic added.
