Nikola Jokic: The fans were our sixth player, it's an honor to play in front of your people

NBA MVP Nikola Jokic led the Serbian national team to victory over Greece in the Mundobasket qualifiers.

The “Joker” scored 29 points in Serbia’s victory (100:94), and had eight rebounds and six successful passes.

“It was very interesting. It was a great experience and a tough game for us. Kudos to the audience. They were our sixth player and they were with us, they carried us… It was an honor to play in front of our people, it’s a great honor to play in front of our people, who gave us energy all the time. There were big names in the stands, both in our country and in sports, and it was a great honor to have them as support,” said Jokic.

Jokic had great support from the full stands of “Arena”.

“It was interesting, I mean. I felt the love from the fans. It was important for us to win. Vasa got injured and that was a big problem for us. Jaramaz played fantastically for us, he controlled the game. If we play like this, we won’t have any problems,” underlined the NBA MVP.
