The new captain of the Slovenian national team, Luka Dončić, made a statement before participating in the Mundobasket.
The coach of Slovenia has determined the list of 12 players who will play at the World Cup, and the Dallas basketball player will lead them as the leader.
“I think we can improve a lot. There were also many good things in the matches so far. If we stick together and do what we have to do, we can accomplish a lot. When we stuck to our rules, we showed that we can really be a dangerous team. We have to get to the point of playing like this for the whole forty minutes. Jumping is still our biggest problem, everyone has to contribute. We had a lot of games, we didn’t have much time for training. Now there will be a lot of this and there will still be a lot of work here,” said Dončić.
Slovenia plays in Group F, and there are also Cape Verde Islands, Georgia and Venezuela.
