BOLT DISSATISFIED WITH THE SUCCESSORS: I would take gold in Tokyo!

The world record holder in the 100 meters, Usain Bolt, claims that if he did not retire, he will continue to rule the world!

The legendary athlete from Jamaica retired in 2017, and his record (9.58) seems to be unattainable for the new generation of sprinters.

The fastest man in the history of the world also referred to the last Olympics, and even as he himself states, he believes that he would run faster than 9.80, as much as the winner of the gold medal – Jacobs run.

  • Towards the end of my career, my coach told me: ‘Other sprinters do not accelerate in the finish, because they cannot. You slowed down.’ I had never thought of it that way before. Indeed, other athletes are not very fast. I set the bar very high with my records and then I started to slow down. But if I had participated in Tokyo, I would probably have been faster than 9.80. I wish I hadn’t retired – said Bolt.

He also states that he does not see his successor and that his record will be unattainable for other sprinters for a long, long time.

  • I did everything I could in this sport, in today’s generation I have no equal. That is why I believe that my records will not be broken for many more years – Bolt added.

Let us remind you, the greatest runner of all time participated in the Games in Beijing, London and Rio de Janeiro during his career, winning a total of eight gold medals in the 100, 200 meters and in the relay. In addition, he has 11 of the brightest medals at the World Championships in those disciplines.
