TSITSIPAS WITHOUT A FIGHT: Gasquet had to give up!

French tennis player Richard Gasquet decided to surrender his match at the Masters in Miami.

Due to an ankle injury, he had to withdraw from the match in the second round.

Gasquet was supposed to play with the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, but he couldn’t get on the field.

What is interesting is that it was the jubilee for the Frenchman, the tenth time that he has withdrawn from a tournament due to injury.

Only four tennis players in the history of the Open era surrendered matches without a fight more times than him.

And it’s about Jimmy Connors (18), Philipp Kohlschreiber (13), and Boris Beker and Miloš Raonic, who did it 11 times each.

That’s how Tsitsipas went to the next round without a fight, where the better of the duel between Argentine Sebastian Baez and Chilean Christian Garin awaits him.
