The new Bayern coach Tomas Tuchel pointed out, after signing the contract, that his goal is to win all the trophies with the Munich club.
Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann as head of the Bavarian club’s coaching staff.
“The timing was very surprising, I did not expect it in the least, because there were no contacts. I believed that I would continue my career abroad. I had my first interview with Bayern on Tuesday evening. The size of the challenge in front of me was the deciding factor and that’s why this is exactly what I wanted. I was in contact with Bayern before, I wanted to come, but I never wanted to impose myself. Now everything happened too fast, this is the best solution for me”, he said.
Tuchel signed a contract until 2025, and will make his debut on April 1 against his senior club – Borussia Dortmund.
“We don’t have much time. I probably won’t see all the players until Thursday, Friday. But it is important that we are in the game for all the trophies, however, the details will decide, as always. I still have no idea what awaits me, but I am ready and optimistic and I can’t wait. I want us to fight for all the trophies”, said Tuchel.
