After ending his playing career following the 2024 Paris Olympics, Andy Murray stepped into coaching by joining Novak Djokovic’s team last November. However, their collaboration lasted only six months and covered four tournaments before they decided to go their separate ways last month.
At the launch of the Andy Murray Arena at Queen’s Club in London, the three-time Grand Slam champion said he hasn’t dismissed the idea of coaching again in the future but doesn’t anticipate doing so anytime soon.
Although Djokovic didn’t capture any titles during their time working together — falling short in the Miami final and exiting early in Monte Carlo and Madrid — Murray said the experience was valuable. “We shared some great moments off the court,” he reflected. “The results weren’t what we hoped for, but we gave it our best shot.”
Murray remains open to coaching down the line but plans to take a break before stepping back into that role.
