Djokovic: I expect people to at least respect my decision

Novak Djokovic spoke honestly about the US Open, so according to the current situation, he will not travel to the USA.

The Serbian tennis player points out that he believes in medical exemption.

  • If I don’t have a permit, I won’t travel to America. The saga in Australia was unpleasant for me. People still think that I tried to enter Australia by force, without papers, without exemption but that is not true. This has been proven in court, I would never enter a country that I do not have permission to enter. I love Australia, I would like to go back to where I recorded the best results at the Grand Slams. I hope to be there in January, I also want to go to New York and play wherever I can. – started Djokovic.

Then Djokovic confirmed once again that he will not be vaccinated.

  • I’m a professional tennis player, I don’t get into politics because I’m not interested in it. I have my own opinion and I stand for the freedom to choose what is best for you. I expect people to at least respect my decision. If I have a permit, I will play in tournaments. If not, I won’t be there and it’s not the end of the world.
