Coco Gauff produced a dominant performance to reach the third round of the Australian Open, beating Olga Danilovic 6-2, 6-2 in just 78 minutes.
The third seed made a fast start, winning the first five games of the match to take control early on. She was sharp from the baseline and comfortable on serve, giving Danilovic very little chance to settle.
Gauff continued in the same style to close out the first set and carried that momentum into the second. She broke serve immediately and never looked back, as Danilovic struggled to cope with the pressure.
After making too many errors in her opening-round match, Gauff showed much better control this time. She finished the match with 14 winners, only 17 unforced errors and just one double fault.
The 21-year-old will now face fellow American Hailey Baptiste in the next round, after Baptiste beat Australia’s Storm Hunter in straight sets.
