AUSTRALIA WEAKENED: Without Kyrgios at the Davis Cup!

The finalist of this year’s Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios, will not play for Australia in the upcoming Davis Cup matches, the Australian tennis association announced.

Kyrgios has not played in the Davis Cup since 2019, and this season, the 28th tennis player in the world, in addition to the final of the London Grand Slam, also won the title in Washington.

It would be great to have Nick in the team, but unfortunately, he is not available for these matches – said Australian coach Lleyton Hewitt.

Australia’s Davis Cup team will be represented by Alex de Minaur and Thanasi Kokkinakis, as well as the doubles team of Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell.

Australia will play in Hamburg from September 13 to 18 in Group C with Germany, France and Belgium.
