Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will return to the court on Monday, as he will play in the tournament in Dubai.
It will be Djokovic‘s first match this year, which he is looking forward to, and before that he held a press conference.
Novak was asked which tournaments he will play in this season, and the answer was more than honest.
– I have to follow the rules. Whatever tournament I can play in, I will try to get to that country and play. Now I really can’t choose. Wherever I have the opportunity to play, I will use it, because this is what I like to do – said Djokovic and added:
– I knew I was coming to Dubai, so I had a goal, something to work for. Now that I’m here, I can say that I’m as well prepared as possible, and I’m excited to be on tour again. That’s all I feel right now.
Novak once again referred to the recent events in Australia.
– It took me a little time to look at all that, and to rest mentally. When I refreshed myself, I was looking forward to playing tennis and competing again.
If Danil Medvedev wins the title in Acapulco, he will become the new number one on February 28.
– Medvedev deserves to be number one and that will happen sooner or later. If it happens this week, I will be the first to congratulate him – Djokovic concluded.
