BECKER ON THE DJOKOVIC CASE AGAIN: Here is what the German had to say to Novak!

As the former coach of Novak Djokovic, Boris Becker was more than invited to comment on the whole recent situation, which the German did again.

The former tennis player wrote a column for the British “Daily Mail” in which he had something to say about Novak Djokovic.

– Novak has a big decision to make (whether to receive the vaccine or not, author’s note). Without revising the old arguments, he will weigh the facts about the fact that it is now much harder for unvaccinated people to continue with a normal life, let alone play international tournaments. Honestly, I don’t know what he will choose.

Becker admitted that the Australian Open with and without Djokovic is not the same tournament at all.

– Novak Djokovic’s non-playing at the Australian Open disrupted the dynamics of events, in the same way, that Rafael Nadal’s non-playing would change Roland Garros. Suddenly, the players are starting to adjust their dreams and expectations, and we may have seen that through the unexpected defeat of Alexander Zverev, one of the tournament favorites. Nadal is the one who can benefit the most from everything because he is in the quarterfinals.

According to the German, when there is no Djokovic, Nadal is the first favorite for the title in Melbourne, while he sees Ashley Barty on the throne in the women’s competition.

– Winning another slam for Nadal and the long-awaited title for Barty by the hosts, what would be the finish of the tournament. That could really happen. Who a month ago thought that the Spanish could be ahead of Djokovic and Federer with the 21st title – Becker concluded.
