Norrie: I apologized to Novak, I didn't do it on purpose

British tennis player Cameron Norrie spoke again about the deliberate shooting of the ball into the body of Novak Djokovic during the tournament in Rome.

On the eve of Wimbledon, Norrie gave an extensive interview to the French “L’Equipe” under the title “Cameron Nori, the hope of the whole country”, in which he talked about that incident, among other things.

Let’s recall that at one point Djokovic gave up and turned his back on his opponent who hit him in the calf with a stick.

It seemed intentional, especially since Nori was losing convincingly in those moments, and Novak was visibly furious.

More than a month has passed since that moment, there was a debate on social networks and in the media about Nori’s intentions, and the Briton decided to put an end to that story once and for all.

His version is different.

“I immediately apologized to Novak, he was not very happy at that moment. I just didn’t see that he turned his back on me at that point. I didn’t do it on purpose, I just wanted to win that match. I don’t want to talk about it anymore”, insists Norrie.
